All thanks to the 32-year-old crown prince of Saudi Arabi that is trying to boost the social standard of the Youths and lifting a 35-year old ban on Cinemas in December 2017. To kick it off, The Emoji Movie and Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie in the city of Jeddah will be the first selected movies to air.
All this aren’t really good news the way I see it because to even watch those movies is a problem. Where are the Cinemas? For 35-years, there probably isn’t anything called a cinema there but the Saudi Government has promised at least 300 theaters by 2030, that’s 12-years at the rate of 25 Cinemas per year if our calculation is correct. If they can achieve this, it will be impressive.
Meanwhile, those with internet access can surf the web for movies while they wait for the Cinemas.
