In case if this is the first time you are hearing of subscription plan for cars, it is literarily referred to as pilot program and related companies like Audi, Cadillac, and Porsche have engaged in this tradition before and the benefit is that when you pay for a car, it covers maintenance and insurance too which is very good giving you easier access to go for the newer models also.
Automotive News reported that BMW and Mercedes are going for this strategy too:
“We are in the phase of looking at it and evaluating together with BMW Financial Services,” BMW of North America CEO Bernhard Kuhnt told the publication this week at the Detroit Auto Show. “And if we are going to do it, we are going to pilot it first to learn more about it.”
